Belle Creek

DNR Map

This part of Belle Creek is magical.  It is in the lower altitutes of the river valley where is meets the Cannon River and then the Mississippi very nearby.  For this reason there are numerous springs in the area and underneath the property that boil up fresh ice cold water.  No wonder the trout like it so much.
Looking upstream or downstream the view is equally stunning.
365 days a year there is water running in this creek.  This is a photo of the creek during a drought.  It's never dry.
During the fall the waters are crisp and clear and hiking is espeically fun along the banks.
Even the Minnesota winter isn't able to freeze the creek.  This is due to the 55 degree water entering from the springs so close below.
It's very enjoyable to walk up or down the creek during the summer.
